CREDENTIALING OPPORTUNITIES ON-LINE

Navy credentialing enables Active Duty and Reserve Component Sailors to further their personal and professional development by completing civilian and industry certifications and licenses related to their military occupations, duties, and completed academic degrees or CTE programs. The Navy’s credentialing program funds vouchers for expenses associated with professional licensing exams, certifications, renewals, and mandatory administrative fees.

Active Duty Navy and Navy Reserve, less Individual Ready Reserve (IRR) and Voluntary Training Unit (VTU), may obtain funding for credential examinations, renewals, maintenance fees, and other mandatory examination administrative fees, if they meet the eligibility requirements.

CERTIFIED RUNNING TECHNIQUE SPECIALIST

The Certified Running Technique Specialist (Pose Method) credential is for any individual who needs be able to provide an effective instruction on running skill, analyze and correct technique deficiency and provide feedback. In the military, this credential is most useful to those in positions of leadership. In line with injury prevention, readiness and human performance optimization initiatives, this certification enables the recipients with a critical skill to support and promote injury prevention and physical readiness. Industry-recognized credentials are often the key to a successful transition to civilian employment.

Who is the Funding approved for?

Current funding supports credentials for all Active Duty and Reserve enlisted personnel, select Navy officers and DON civilians.

What are the eligibility requirements?

Enlisted Sailors must meet 1 of the following eligibility requirements:

Be in the appropriate rating or occupation to which the credential is mapped.
Be currently working in, or have been assigned to, a position to which the credential is mapped.
Have prior documented experience in a position to which the credential is mapped for credentials outside of their specific rating, and the credential has relevance or applicability to the current or future needs of the command or the Navy.
Credential being sought is substantially related to an earned academic degree or Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges Career Technical Education (SOC CTE) certificate (for example, a degree in Human Resources relates to the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification; SOC CTE Certificate in Supply Chain Management relates to the Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM) certification).
