LEVEL 1 RECERTIFICATION
Maintaining the Certified Running Technique Specialist credential is accomplished through a 5-year recertification process. The process was designed to promote and preserve Academy’s high standard of professional education and training, as well as allow certificants to demonstrate continued competency in the subject matter through commitment to continuing education by taking a recertification exam and participating as an assistant to the Lead Instructor in at least one approved educational seminar every five years.
Recertification allows specialists to distinguish themselves as accomplished professionals committed to development of their skills and knowledge.
RECERTIFICATION GUIDELINES
Maintaining the CRTS credential requires the certificant to complete the entire recertification application process prior to the expiration of the five-year recertification interval. A recertification application will be sent by email to the certificant 3 months prior to the certification expiration date.
As a Certified professional you can continue to enhance your marketability, show your dedication to your profession, and provide top-notch guidance to your associations by continuing your education and maintaining your certification.

Please note: An individual with a felony conviction for crimes of moral turpitude, including but not limited to crimes of a fiduciary nature such as embezzlement, forgery, fraud, or theft, may be denied eligibility to apply, reinstate, or recertify regardless of the time since conviction.

To keep your credential current and your CRTS status active you are required to recertify at the end of each 5 year cycle.
The start date of each certification cycle is located on your certificate issued upon successful completion of the initial Certification Exam and the following Recertification exam(s). The Academy monitors certificant’s status and maintains the records to substantiate satisfactory compliance with the recertification program.
